Peer Advising is a service that the Office of Academic Advising & Transfer Transition provides to all undergraduate students to help them understand the Universities Common Core of Studies, registration procedures, and important Univeristy policies.
First year students are required to meet with a peer advisor prior to meeting with their faculty advisor or professional advisor. Some majors require you to meet with a peer advisor prior to meeting with the faculty member. We recommend that you get peer advised at least a week prior to your scheduled advising time with your faculty or professional advisor.
Appointments are not necessary. Peer advisors are located in the Office of Academic Advising & Transfer Transition and are available Monday - Friday between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Walk in anytime and a peer advisor will be able to assist you.
If you are interested in becoming a peer advisor, please email Francheska Cordero at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit her in person in Parenzo Hall, Room K/L for the application.
