Professional Interests/Activities: Dr. Giuliano has been at Westfield State since 1997 and teaches the Department's science methods courses as well as Physical Science. He is a very popular instructor and is a winner of the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education's Outstanding Educator Award. His research interests in science education are focused on the examination of the variables that influence students' learning and problem-solving abilities. Dr. Giuliano has recently presented papers and workshops at conferences for the National Science Teachers Association, the American Association for Teaching and Curriculum, and the Massachusetts STEM Summit. He has done extensive outreach to local schools, and he serves on the Massachusetts Commission for LGBTQ Youth.
