Professional Interests/Activities: Dr. Turner has been at Westfield State since 2004.   His research interests focus on physics education and curriculum development involving the use of technology in the classroom.  Dr. Turner taught in a wide variety of settings before coming to Westfield State and has a long-standing involvement with the United States Physics Team, including traveling to the International Physics Olympiad from 2008 to 2011 as the Senior Coach.  In his spare time he enjoys walking, biking, and travel.  During his most recent sabbatical he spent two years living in Viterbo, Italy.  He currently resides in North Berkshire County a few miles from Vermont with his wife, Amy, and their pets.
