Differentiation and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) are practices applied to a backwards design approach to curriculum development. Students will explore how cases are conceptualized and sessions are structured as well as the process of identifying and modifying automatic thoughts and beliefs. Students will be exposed to the concept of behavior activation, the use of imagery, and therapeutic homework. Overall, students will learn the core concepts and techniques of CBT as applied to individuals with a variety of behavior problems. This course will emphasize the application of logical and procedural aspects of statistical methods for data-reduction and hypothesis-testing; understanding data distributions and tabulations; measuring central tendency, variability, independence, correlation and regression, and non-parametric analysis in sociology.� This course will cover the use of computer software to calculate statistics and will provide training in the use of statistical analysis software programs.
