An intensive 36-hour course, this Human Resources certification preparation program is designed primarily to prepare those students seeking certification as a Certified Professional (CP) or Senior Certified Professional (SCP). It is also an excellent program for those wanting to broaden their knowledge of human resources as part of their continuing professional development. The course relies on the 2024 SHRM Learning System which provides interactive tools and updated content that reflects the SHRM Body of Applied Skills and Knowledge (BASK) as tested on the SHRM-CP and SHRM-SCP exams. Program content is updated annually to reflect legislative changes and new HR developments. This course includes thirty-six hours of live online instruction, the SHRM Learning System for CP/SCP Certification Preparation modules, online learning center, access to the Online Resource Center, and instructor handouts.

Instructor: 

Brie Elliott has over 20 years of experience in Human Resources in multiple industries. In her current role as Head of Human Resources for Ballentine Partners, LLC, she focuses on the smooth and profitable operation of Ballentine’s human resource department by supervising and providing consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, and employee relations as well as working with clients and client teams in an HR Consultant capacity. Prior to Ballentine, Brie worked for TomTom North America, Home Depot, and Madeira USA.

Brie has her PHR, SHRM-SCP and Certified 401(k) Fiduciary designation from The Plan Sponsor University. Her undergraduate studies were done at Colby-Sawyer College where she received two bachelor’s degrees; one in Business Administration and the other in Psychology. She completed her Master of Science in Human Resource and Development at Villanova University.

Brie currently serves as an Adjunct Professor for Southern New Hampshire University’s online program as well as President for the board of the Manchester Area Human Resources Association (MAHRA) and Secretary on the board of the Diversity Workforce Coalition (DWC)

She lives in Belmont, NH, with her husband and their two dogs and cat.
