GIS Day 2017

GIS Day is a grassroots event when GIS users to open their doors to the public and showcase the real-world applications of this exciting technology. It is a way for GIS users to share their knowledge and passion for modern geography with others and show the impact GIS technology is making in our lives each day.

GIS Day began in 1999 and has been celebrated by more than 10,000 organizations in over 80 countries. GIS Day is celebrated annually on the Wednesday of National Geographic's Geography Awareness Week. GIS Day is a global event and organizations all over the world are invited to participate by holding or sponsoring event(s) of their own.

GIS Day 2017 Events at Westfield

All our GIS Day Events are free and open to the campus and surrounding community. However, seats are limited, so please email tledoux@westfield.ma.edu to reserve your seat. You can also bring a notebook computer and use the campus wireless network.
