The new Westfield State University weather station was installed over a few cold days in early December 2011 on the roof of Parenzo Hall.
The station is an onset HOBO U30 Series solar-powered weather station and measures a series of meteorological variables, including temperature, relative humidity, wind speed/direction, atmospheric pressure, solar radiation, and rainfall. Measurements are transferred to the web in real-time via HOBOlink for public viewing. The accumulated data are also available for download.
