Meet our Leaders

Our SI leaders are model students! Here is a little bit about each of them!

Bios and Portraits

Ashley Johnson

Ashley Johnson

is a senior that double majors in Economics and Finance. She loves challenging herself and taking her studies to the next level. As the semester goes on, she's finding herself in the finance field and constantly networking as a young professional. She is the President of the Business Club. Ashley has held SI sessions for both Accounting I and II. She enjoys helping students in SI with the challenging material in Accounting.

Bridget M. O'Connor

Bridget M. O'Connor

is a junior. She is a Business Major with a concentration in Accounting. When she graduates with her bachelor's degree, she would like to continue on to the master's program for Accounting at WSU and take the CPA exam. After school she would like to work with her father at their family business in Holyoke, MA. Bridget is an active participant of current and past SI sessions. And will be holding sessions for Accounting I and II in the spring.

Chelsea Cox

Chelsea Cox

is a senior Accounting Major. Chelsea is an exceptionally motivated student and aspiring accountant. Chelsea is currently an accounting intern with Meyer's Brothers in Holyoke, MA. Chelsea has held SI sessions for Accounting I and II, and Financial Reporting. She is also President of the Accounting Club. She loves to use her own knowledge about accounting to help other students in SI gain a deeper understanding of the course concepts.

Dana McPherson

Dana McPherson

Dana McPherson is a Junior Athletic Training major with a minor in Biology and plans to become a Physician Assistant. Dana's favorite part of being the SI leader for A&P I and A&P II is having the students leave understanding the big picture! Dana's favorite things to do in her spare time are exercise, read, and drink coffee.

David Lepine

David Lepine

is a Junior Biology major with a chemistry minor. Dave has a strong interest in Molecular Biology and Genetics and hopes to do research on genetic diseases in the future. Dave provides SI sessions for Biology 128 and 129. He enjoys helping students get to the "AH-HA!" moment, when the students' start to understand a concept they have been struggling with. Dave also enjoys growing and caring for various plants in his free time.

Kristen Fuller

Kristen Fuller

Kristen Fuller is a Junior Biology major and would like to go into the optometry field after graduation. She started attending SI sessions for some of her classes and thought it was a great help and believed in the program. This led her to become an SI leader herself and is now the SI leader for General Chemistry I and II.

Brandon Chasse

is camera shy. He is a Junior Business Management Major. He is concentrating in both accounting and finance. One day, he will work in the John Hancock tower in Boston, MA as a Financial Manager. Brandon offers SI sessions for the Principles of Accounting Sequence (Accounting I and II). Brandon is also involved on campus in a couple of different ways. He is the Vice President of the Accounting Club as well as a team member of the Westfield State Bucks Intramural Sports Team. "There's part time achievers and then there are full time achievers"

Liz Raymond

is also camera shy and is a junior Mathematics major with a Secondary Education concentration. She is the Vice President of Math Club and also tutors various math classes. She believes that Supplemental Instruction is a great way for students to work together outside of the class and not only learn the material, but apply it to diverse situations. She offers SI sessions for Calculus I.
