Sixth Nursing Pinning Ceremony

The University celebrated its sixth annual Nursing Pinning Ceremony on May 16. Thirty-nine members of the Class of 2019 received their pins, among 61 who completed degree requirements to earn a Bachelor of Science in nursing at the 2019 Commencement.

Apple Bottass ’16, a recent nursing alumna and current cardiac unit nurse at St. Francis Hospital, was selected by the graduating class to give the keynote presentation.

The Nursing Department’s Leadership Award was given to Tara Lambert and its Spirit of Nursing Award was presented to Sara Collier.

A newly established Baystate Health Scholarship for Nursing was awarded to Sarina Gallant, who also spoke on behalf of the graduating class.
