Earth Systems Science Program 2008-2011
The Earth Systems Science (ESS) Program was a partnership between the CENTER and the WSU Science Departments. The program served middle school educators in 15 districts (core districts Gateway, Holyoke, Easthampton).
The ESS Program highlighted topics in life, earth, and physical science through a mixed methods approach, utilizing inquiry as well as traditional instructional techniques. The content addressed topics related to the Massachusetts Framework for Science, Technology and Engineering standards.

This program was offered by The Gateway Regional School District in collaboration with Westfield State University, working with the Public School Districts of Holyoke and Easthampton. It was funded by the Title II-B: Massachusetts Mathematics and Science Partnership Program.
