Welcome to the Community Resources
Section of Our Web Site.

The information on this site will help you navigate your way around the Pioneer Valley and Southern Connecticut and the rest of New England.

We hope that this information serves to introduce you to the various and diverse communities throughout the Pioneer Valley.

Welcome.

The location of Westfield State allows access to a wide array of cultural events and attractions as well as a vibrant community in many ways. This page provides information on cultural, spiritual, political and arts related events and organizations as well as recreational activities.

The landscape surrounding Westfield State also provides for a myriad of recreational activities including but not limited to hiking, biking and exploring the wilderness. We also strive to give new members of the WSC community as much information about what it is like to live in the Pioneer Valley, including housing information, demographics and historical background. We have also begun building a database of information on retail and professional services for a diverse community.

The site will also provide a calendar of events of interest which will be updated monthly as well as web addresses and contacts for a number of performance spaces and venues throughout the area. There are links to Westfield state organizations and contacts included as well.

We also include a contact information for faculty and staff who have volunteered to help provide information and insight about the area in any number of specify areas, including educational information for local schools and daycare as well as more culturally specific information, for example—where are the resources of the African American community in the area or what organizations are in the area for the Hispanic community or the South Asian community.

Please navigate the pages and explore the information we have already collected and feel free to contact us with suggestions for additions to the web site at any time.
