GIS CERTIFICATE PROGRAM
The GIS Certificate includes a 12 credit comprehensive set of courses, which account for the diversity of backgrounds, needs, and computer experience of the students.
The target audience for the GIS Certificate are non-traditional students, e.g. professionals from the private and public sectors, educators, local town government officials, etc., with and without an academic degree. The GIS Certificate will also provide an option for traditional students wanting some 'formal' GIS training, but who are unable to commit to the more comprehensive GIS minor (www.wsc.ma.edu/garp/gisminor.html).
The GIS Certificate will be awarded through the Division of Graduate & Continuing Education, however, coursework may be taken during the day or evening offerings. Some coursework from other institutions may be accepted in transfer after review by the Certificate Director.
