Emergency Preparedness for Parents

Preparing for emergencies on campus is a shared responsibility among the Westfield State administrators, faculty, staff, students and their families. This page serves as a reference guide for parents of Westfield State students.

Communication During an Emergency:

In the event of an emergency, your student will receive information via text messages (if the student signs up), e-mail, and the Westfield State Homepage and other campus alerts where appropriate.

To stay informed about incidents effecting the Westfield State University community, bookmark the Westfield State Homepage for official status updates.

Help Your Student Prepare:

Encourage your student to prepare a communications plan, an evacuation plan, and to build an emergency kit. See the student page for details.
