Meet Our Patrons

The Historical Journal of Massachusetts gratefully acknowledges support from the following individuals and institutions who have donated at least $50 to help preserve the historical and cultural heritage of Massachusetts. Since 1972, our patrons’ generosity has been critical to the Historical Journal of Massachusetts’ development and growth. We thank them for their ongoing support. Lawrence T. and Donna J. Gwozdz Graduate Assistant Scholarship

The Historical Journal of Massachusetts (HJM) is deeply honored that Westfield State University alumni Larry Gwozdz (1969) has made an extremely generous and significant gift specifically in support of HJM. This annual gift will fund the Lawrence T. and Donna J. Gwozdz Graduate Assistant Scholarship. This is the first time in the journal’s history that we will have a full-time graduate assistant (15 hours weekly) to provide greatly-needed administrative support. This will enable us to expand our work and also allow us to offer more internships and training for undergraduate students in historical research, writing, editing, and journal production.

The Historical Journal of Massachusetts would not exist without the very generous financial support of Westfield State University and WSU History & Philosophy Department. The University has been especially generous by underwriting 75% of our costs.
