Massachusetts First Responder
This 32-hour course meets and exceeds all Massachusetts OEMS requirements for Massachusetts First Responders.
Topics include:
- The EMS System
- Airway Management
- Patient Assessment
- Bleeding Control & Shock Management
- The Younger & Older Populations
- OBGYN
- Hazmat Review
Students must pass the written exam with an 80% and pass the practical component. Upon completion students will receive an American Red Cross Massachusetts First Responder card, which is valid for three years from date of issue. National Certification is also available. The First Responder Course runs three times per year: Spring, Summer, and Fall. The course is 32 Hours in length, and CPR is a PREREQUISITE. If the student needs to have CPR included in the course an extra eight (8) hour day will be added to the course.

Please NOTE: Mass First Responder certificate is valid for (3) three years from date of issue. Students must have a valid Professional Rescuer CPR card that must be re-certified yearly.
