Phlebotomy Certification Program
Do you enjoy working with people? Are you looking for a rewarding career that is in demand? If you enjoy making a difference in the lives of others, a career in Phlebotomy may be for you!
Professionally trained phlebotomists play a vitally important role in the delivery of health care. In hospitals, clinical laboratories, physicians’ offices and blood donation centers they are responsible for obtaining blood specimens by venipuncture and micro techniques, verifying records and preparing specimens for laboratory analysis. To do this well and efficiently they must possess strong technical, organizational and interpersonal skills.
This non-credit course prepares students to accurately, safely and reliably perform venipuncture and capillary puncture in order to collect and transport blood specimens for diagnostic procedures and clinical laboratory analysis.
Our low student to instructor ratio allows for individualized attention, fosters an exceptional learning environment and promotes mastery of necessary skills. Our 80 hour program is completed over a ten week period and includes exceptional classroom instruction and extensive practical application.
Those who satisfactorily complete this program will be prepared to take the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) exam enabling them to seek employment within the United States.
