Westfield State University’s business administration and history programs highly ranked

The Westfield State University’s online business administration and history programs have been recognized among the top programs nationwide by

The University’s online program in business administration was ranked #14 and cited as the “best for transfer students.”, a resource for online degree rankings and higher education planning, assessed 177 colleges and universities in the nation to determine the top 60 online bachelor’s degrees in business administration. Each program was evaluated based on curriculum quality, graduation rate, reputation, and post-graduate employment.

“We are pleased to be recognized by,” said Rebecca Morris, Ph.D. associate professor and chair of the Westfield State University Department of Economics and Management. “We have made a strong commitment to the quality of our online programs in accounting, finance, marketing, and management.”

Westfield State's online program in history earned a ranking of #40 and noted as “most flexible” among 118 colleges analyzed to determine the top 60 online history degrees. “The history department is very proud of this ranking,” said Mara Dodge, Ph.D., professor and chair of the Westfield State University Department of History.

 “We offer a unique range of over 20 different courses including The American Revolution, the Dark Ages, European Genocide, and the 1960s; as well as specific courses exploring the histories of baseball, China, evil, Latin Americans, U.S. women, and witchcraft. Students can complete their bachelor of arts entirely online with a wide range of high-quality, interesting and challenging courses.”
