Become a Career Mentor
If you would like to give others a leg-up in the world of work, you can join WSU Career Connections (https://www.myinterfase.com/westfield/mentor/) as a Career Mentor. Becoming a Career Mentor is a great way to give back (non-monetarily) by sharing your professional expertise and industry knowledge with current students and fellow alumni. You can choose to assist students and other alumni in a variety of ways including:
- Informational Interviews (share information about your occupation and the industry you work in)
- Job-Shadowing Opportunities (host a student at your place of work)
- Employment Opportunities/Recruiting (post jobs & recruit for your organization)
- Internships (assist students in finding internships within or outside of your organization)
- Career Panels/Workshops (present a career-related topic or share about your profession on a panel)
- Graduate School Advice (provide advice about pursuing graduate school/share your experience)
- Relocation Assistance (share helpful tips on moving to your area/hometown)
