Jose Lopez-Figueroa
Outreach Specialist
Jose Lopez-Figueroa, Outreach Specialist for: Master of Science in Criminal Justice, and all Undergraduate programs. Jose also works with Community Colleges and their students across Massachusetts with particular emphasis on the bachelor’s degree completion program in business, history, liberal studies, and sociology which is offered online. Jose is originally from Worcester, MA.
“I attended Westfield State for my undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice. My experience with the University is a great one. The faculty are all experienced in their fields and are always willing to help out students. The University has remarkable internship opportunities. I am currently working towards my Masters in Public Administration while I work full time for the Division of Graduate and Continuing Education. My time here has been fun and I look forward to another great year! “

Jonathan Beals, Outreach Graduate Assistant for: Post-Baccalaureate, Graduate and Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study Education programs and Master of Public Administration.Jonathan is originally from Adams, MA.
“I attended Westfield as an undergraduate, and so I know that there's so much to enjoy here, but what really pulls everything together is the staff. Right from the start I had support from my academic advisors and all the staff. No matter where I went they did their best to answer all my questions and make me feel like a part of the community. Outreach Specialist
Amy L. Woody, Outreach Specialist for: Master of Arts in English (inclduing post-baccalaureate, initial and professional licensures), Master of Social Work, Master of Science in Accountancy, Master of Science in Criminal Justice and Master of Arts in Psychology. Amy is originally from Westfield, MA.
“What I love about learning at Westfield State is that I always feel challenged, but never overwhelmed. The faculty and staff are always willing to do what it takes to help students reach their full potential, and I know that the education I’m receiving here rivals that of any private institution. When I transferred into Westfield as a junior, I thought I would feel out of place, or left behind. But the transition couldn’t have gone more smoothly, and I owe that to my advisors, professors, and all the behind-the-scenes staff who made sure that everything else was taken care of.”

Meaghan Arena
Director of Program Development & Outreach
Meaghan oversees the outreach team and activities, and works with program coordinators and department chairs to change current programs and develop new ones. Meaghan is originally from Pittsfield, MA.
