Office of Faculty Grants and Sponsored Program News…

Welcome!  This OGSP News page will be updated every semester and will offer relevant newsworthy information from the Office of Faculty Grants and Sponsored Programs (OGSP).

The primary role of the Office of Faculty Grants and Sponsored Programs (OGSP) is to support faculty and staff to secure external funding for scholarly research, programmatic initiatives and other projects which cannot be funded through the University. The majority of the funders we work with are in the public sector, but there are certain corporations and foundations to whom we submit proposals.

If you have an idea, please call our office or complete the External Funding Form.  Once a funder is identified, our office will assist in developing the proposal to ensure it responds to the funder’s requirements. If you are fortunate enough to receive funding, we will assist in the award set-up and the compliance issues that require attention throughout the life of the grant.

Throughout our webpage, there are many sources of information and sources of funding to begin your search. Our office requires all PIs to use the key templates (internal forms) that are required for all grant submissions. Our department requires 8 days advance notice to submit a grant to a funding agency. Please contact us well in advance of submission deadlines so we can work with you effectively.

Do not hesitate to call or stop by to discuss your plans for a research project or any other initiative which will require external funding. In the past several years we have received dozens of awards totaling millions of dollars. Our office is eager to help you find the resources to fund your research project!

All information, links to key funding sources, internal forms and templates required for proposal submission has been developed to specifically address the needs of our faculty and all primary investigators (PIs).  All information can be found here in myWestfield.

Listed below is our fall semester schedule for upcoming workshops.

On the right sidebar of this page, you will find links to the staff of OGSP and others who can assist you.

Any suggestions you have or would like to see on this OGSP site are welcome.  We look forward to the year ahead!
