Preparing for Westfield

With some planning, you can help prepare your future student for college.

Try the following:

• Visit the campus
• Talk to current students
• Sit in on a class
• Apply early
• Submit a FAFSA Financial Aid form
• Review the college’s majors, minors and concentrations
• Start thinking about your major course of study
• Talk about balancing social life with studying
• Communicate with the admission and financial aid staff
• Reserve a room early
• Make contact with your roommate(s) or students in your major

And, before you arrive on campus:

• Get organized
• Don’t overpack
• Bring school supplies
• Talk with your roommate about what they’re bringing
