Theodore Roosevelt

Theodore Roosevelt was the 26th president of the United States and served from 1901-1909.
He is considered the first modern president as he expanded the powers of his office (Executive Branch). Before Congress had more power and made decisions (Legislative Branch).
Roosevelt wanted there to be government regulations so that there would be social and economic justice.
As president he used executive orders to get what he wanted and waged agressive foreign policy.
Theodore Roosevelt was the first president to use the media to talk with the people rathing than going through political parties and politicians.
