Our program provides you with the leadership, communication, collaboration, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills valued in both the public and private sectors.
The Theatre Arts Program is committed to preparing students for work in the professional theatre and for graduate study; yet, no matter where your life takes you, the knowledge and skills thattheatre teaches are the ones sought after by both public and private organizations and businesses in the 21st century.
The Program's faculty members are professional artists who bring their knowledge of and experience in the professional theatre into the classroom and the studio to educate and to train young theatre artists. The emphasis is placed upon the creative process, upon analytical and critical thinking, upon collaborative and ensemble work, and upon a professional work ethic. The faculty focuses upon mentoring the students, providing close personal attention and advising. No other other academic discipline provides students with the kind of education, training, skills that are so desired and valued in today's modern workplace.
