Residence Halls

Westfield State University houses over 2800 students on an annual basis in its eight residence halls.  Seven of the halls are located on the main campus and one is located in the heart of Downtown Westfield, just five minutes from campus.  Details for our halls are below with more information available by clicking on the appropriate link.


Apartment Style Housing


The Apartment Complex

The Apartment Complex is Westfield State University's first ever apartment housing and is comprised of three buildings (Welch, Seymoure, and Conlin) in the shape of a horseshoe which creates a courtyard for students to use.  Home to 282 residents, the hall houses sophomores, juniors, and seniors in 6 person apartments.


Lansdowne Place

Lansdowne Place is Westfield State University's downtown residence located in the heart of Downtown Westfield.  Home to 212 sophomores, juniors, and seniors, Lansdowne offers a unique housing opportunity for students in 2 and 5 person apartments.


New Hall

New Hall is Westfield State University's newest residence hall completed in 2005.  Home to 400 sophomores, juniors, and seniors, New Hall offers students suite style apartments in the shape of 3, 4, and 6 person apartments.


Traditional Style Housing


Courtney Hall

Courtney Hall is Westfield State University's largest residence hall on campus housing over 500 residents each year.  The hall is home to sophomores, juniors, and seniors who live in double, triple, and quad style rooms.

 


Davis Hall

Davis Hall was built as Westfield State University's third residence hall and recently became an all first-year student residence hall.  Home to over 300 first-year students each year, the hall traditionally houses students in double rooms with a small number of private rooms available.


Dickinson Hall

Dickinson Hall was Westfield State University's second residence hall built 12 years after the University moved to its current location.  Recently the hall became the second all first-year student residence hall.  Home to over 300 first-year students each year, the hall traditionally houses students in double rooms with a small number of private rooms available.


Lammers Hall

Lammers Hall is Westfield State University's only cluster-style residence hall.  Students reside in blocks of 10-12 rooms which are clustered around restrooms and a kitchen.  Home to over 300 first-year, sophomore, junior, and senior students, the hall houses students in double and quad style rooms with a small number of private rooms available.


Scanlon Hall

Scanlon Hall was the first residence hall to be used by Westfield State University when it moved to its current location.  The location of the Banquet Hall and Living Room, Scanlon plays host to many functions and groups throughout the year.  Home to nearly 400 first-year, sophomore, junior, and senior students, the hall houses residents in double, triple, and quad style rooms with a small number of private rooms available.
