Emerging Leaders Program

Two people on a rope

Connecting First Year Students to leadership and success at Westfield State University

The Emerging Leaders Program is designed to give each student the opportunity to learn leadership  concepts and skills through participation in a variety of interactive group and  service projects, workshops, and presentations. The program provides students the opportunity to explore their own ideas of leadership, gain valuable experience through small group activities, challenge the status-quo of involvement, and to create a civic engagement project based upon discussion and needs on campus and in the greater Westfield community.

There are a number of reasons to participate in the Emerging Leaders Program.

Here are the Top 4:

  1. Increased involvement in the University and Community.
  2. Gain access to the top leadership positions on campus, such as Resident Assistants, Orientation Leaders, SGA, and Club Leadership.
  3. Earn both skills and a leadership certificate that can be put on your resume.
  4. Strengthen connections with student leaders, faculty, and staff.

This program is for First Year Students ONLY.
