Hello and welcome to our first grade classroom website! Here you can find a variety of things that will be helpful throughout our school-year together, including links to educational resource sites, class birthdays, lunch menus, specialist schedule, lesson plans, and more! Please use the site to stay up to date on what your child is learning, and upcoming activities in our classroom throughout the year. Philosophy:

As co-teachers, we all have the same philosophy about using technology in the classroom: when used correctly, technology can enhance student’s learning and create a more productive, creative learning environment. By using technology to our advantage and using it productively and creatively, we can teach our students to use technology themselves in the same productive and creative ways. Technology in the classroom promotes teamwork and collaboration. We believe that the quality of education is truly improved with the use of technology and that it opens doors to new opportunities that we have never imagined before. We are lucky enough to be able to have access to a smartboard, and ipads for each child this year, and will be using them almost every day in our lessons. So join us on our journey through a technologically involved, active learning, and fun filled year in first grade!
