Each day we must feed him and change his water, so we created a schedule posted on the front wall of the class. It shows which students job it is to feed and water Harold on that specific day. Once a week we take Harold out onto our reading rug and we take turns in groups to play with Harold. He loves it and so do the kids! It is a wonderful break from the everyday routine of learning, to build community as a class.
