Bank Street Library ![]() This website gives parents some helpful books to get their students ready to go back to school. There are books listed for a variety of different age groups, with descriptions on each one. Books listed all provide a great discussion starter on their feelings and emotions and can start a great dialect between parents and children. |
Reading Rockets ![]() This website provides a lot of resources for parents to continue teaching children at home. There are printable worksheets, themed book lists and even some lessons that can be done at home. On the website there are also instructional tips for parents on reading and learning with their children. |
Learning Disabilities Association of America ![]() This website is a great tool for parents to use if their child has disabilities. There are links with information on talking to the child about their disabilities, and resources for parents to use to better understand the disabilities and what they mean for the student. There are specific links to information about different disorders that could be helpful to parents who are trying to learn more. |
