Meet Henry our
Class Pet!

Hi, my name is Henry!
I am a green Gecko! As you can see I have spots and
stripes! I am friendly and like to be held but only when
Ms. C is around! I live in a vivarium with plants,
water, food, a heat lamp and a place for me to hide. I
really like the warmth and will sit under my heat lamp
often but I also like to hide in my house during the day
because I am nocturnal. This doesn't mean that I don't
like you though; I just do not like the light. I like to
sleep a lot and sometimes I get a little scared, so
please be quiet when I am around. I like to eat crickets
and worms but I do not eat a lot and I ONLY drink water.
There may be a possibility that I will shed while you
are in Ms. C's class so look for my skin! It is pretty
cool! RULES with Henry: 1. DO NOT hold Henry without Ms. C there. 2. Ms. C will take care of feeding him but sometimes might ask for help so be prepared. 3. Please DO NOT touch the tank, tap on it, or take the cover off. 4. Henry is a living animal so please be respectful of him. 5. Be quiet around Henry because sometimes he gets scared. Dear Students and Parents, We will have a very serious talk before I bring Henry in and I will make sure all students agree to follow the rules and can be trusted with him. I will send a handout home with the rules and expectations. The students and parents will be required to sign it. Having an animal in the classroom is a privilege. Please email me with any questions or concerns. Thank You, Ms. C |
