Spike The Iguana



Meet our class pet, Spike, he is very lovable even though he may look a little scary to some he wouldn't hurt a fly.  Our students are sometimes nervous at first to hold him but once they do they cant put him down.  He is very relaxed and basically just sits in the students hands, he is a herbivore so we only feed him plants and sometimes fruits, the students switch off day by day feeding him and they love it.  It is a great hands on learning material for the students because we can teach them all about herbivores and other animals that have similar eating habits as Spike.  The students love Spike and we as teachers think it is a great learning material to keep the kids intrigued.
