Theoretical Perspective: This lesson is important for my students to learn because it is essential information for an adult to have. This something they may come across in everyday life. This also teaches them independence and responsibility.

    Procedure:

A.  Introductory Activity

To start off the class we will have an open discussion lead by questions from the teacher. The students will be asked “How do you get food when you’re hungry?”, “Where do you buy food to put in your house?”, “Can Anyone name a grocery store near your house?”, “Who likes to go grocery shopping?”, and “Who doesn’t like to go grocery shopping?”. The teacher will properly respond to the students answers will inquiring questions about the topic of grocery shopping. As the discussion winds to an end, the teacher will ask the students to find a computer and a pencil, making sure to listen for more directions.

B. While the students find a computer and a pencil, the teacher will begin to pass out the hand out to each student. Headphones will already be at each computer station, ready for each student to use.

The teacher will then read the first two directions on the Hand out to the class, and usher them to put on their headphones and open up Internet Explorer. The teacher and the class Aids will assist the students with typing in the URL.

Using the Handout the students will type in the link and follow the numbered directions on the paper. The Students will make sure to record their answers in the spaces provided as they partake in the activity, with assistance from the teacher and their aids.

After completing the activity on the website, each student will proceed to answer the 5 review questions located underneath the tables.

C. After the students have completed the assignment they will be asked to return to their desks by the teacher. The teacher will then review the hand out with the class, making sure to ask the answers from the students. It is essential that the teacher collects the hand outs and asked for feed back from the aids as well.

D. Adaptations for different learners (i.e. non-native speakers, struggling readers or math phobic learners, students with poor study skills)

E. Homework

    Evaluation:
