As a Special Educator I feel as if any information about disabilities and learning difficulties is always helpful for any parent.
These links below have information about learning disabilities, disability awareness, plus other websites to help your children with their learning.

This first link is from Reading Rockets and is great if you are wondering why your child is having reading difficulties. It has 6 reasons why your child may be having reading difficulties plus a few videos to further explain reading difficulties. There are also links to more in depth articles about certain concerns. Also this website has a lot of different book suggestions and more!

The next link is from Center for Parent Information and Resources. This link is for parents that learn their child has a disability. Learning that your child has a disability is really hard and confusing time but this link can help with all the thoughts you may be dealing with at that time.

The next link is from the US Department of Education. This website has a bunch of links to other websites that will be helpful. It is broken down into different sections to help educate parents on their rights, discrimination, special education, and more!

I always found that watching videos is a great way to learn! It is a quick way to get information on a lot of topics. I made sure that these videos are from educators or other professionals that are within the education field
The first video is from Gabriela Timothy who is a Special education teacher, consultant, and a learning specialist. In this video she reviews 12 important questions a parent should ask at their child's IEP meeting. It is quite informative and really breaks down the questions that should be asked.

If you want an in depth video about IEP's and what they are this video is for you! This video is from Ramona Meharg and she presents a slideshow on the basics of an IEP. This is extremely helpful to explain what an IEP is and the process of you child getting an IEP

This next video is from Hopebridge Autism Therapy Centers.This video explains autism spectrum disorder and applied behavioral analysis as a therapy for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder. There are ABA's, BCBA's, and psychologists explaining signs of autism in young children, behaviors associated with autism and how these behaviors associated with autism are helped by ABA so children with autism spectrum disorder can flourish in their learning.

Lastly, for some really informative videos on all kinds of disabilities Special Books by Special Kids is awesome! Chris Ulmer interviews children and adults with disabilities and has super informative videos on the disabilities. Te disabilities range from developmental, intellectual, physical, and even invisible disabilities. These videos are about each persons own story about their disability and how others can be more inclusive. These are a must watch!
