Objective:
To
help the student learn what is the Roman Empire with class discussion and
reading text to look more in dept for the student to understand why the Roman
Empire was so influential in for a modern society.
Class activities:
Motivational activity:
Naming important areas
in the map and how they originally were known. The students will go towards the
map and say the name of the area and designate the portion of territory that
belongs to each section. (10 minutes)
Learning activity:
Reading
text and explaining the circumstances of how Rome became powerful. There will
be mentioning of important emperors and some of the main enemies of the Roman
Empire to understand the fall of Rome. (40 minutes)
Closing activity:
Using
the computer interactive website to reinforced what has been discussed in
class.( 5 minutes)
Homework:
Bring
a one page paper on what was the most interesting thing about the Roman Empire
for them.
