Chariot races were one of the main events in the coloseum because of the representation of battles that occured. The coloseum was used also to represent past battles that rome had against an enemy. Also the charoits were used for normal conventional races and battles. In some ocations the gladiators had to defeat a mounted warrior, this encreasing the legendary events displayed in the coloseum.
