Theoretical perspective:
- This information is
important for my students to know because they
should be able to identify animals. It also
teaches them to infer, which is an important skill
Procedure:
- As a teacher I will teach
my students about the different animals and their
characteristics. I will then have each of them
individually complete the quiz while monitoring
their progress
A. Introductory Activity: Teaching the students
about the animals
B. Step-by-step: The students will go on the
computer following the directions on the website they will
complete the zoo quiz. They will use the worksheet provided
to record the number of tries it took them to get the
correct answer to each question
C. Closure: Class discussion about any new or
interesting facts they learned while using the links to
learn more about the animals.
D. Adaptations for different learners: A student who
learns better orally rather than visually will have the
option of having the teacher read the questions, and answer
options to the student, who will then answer the question on
their own.
E. Homework: There will be no homework for this
lesson
Evaluation: I will check their sheets monitoring their
progress, and see hoe many tries each question took. If any
took a lot of tries for many students I will review that
animal

I will check their sheets, and see the majority of the
class was able to figure out the animal on the first try
B. Concerns or questions you have about teaching this lesson?
A concern I would have would be that not all my students are
familiar enough with computers to use them in this lesson.
