The Empire State Building is one of New York City's most popular
tourist attraction. Its name is taken from the nickname for New York
(the empire state). It stretches 6 blocks and can be seen from all over
the city. The Empire State building is cuurently the tallest building
in NYC and in New York State. Costimg 40,948,900 to build it was
constructed in 1937. The building is illuminated at night, and is a
beautiful landmark to see.
