This activity can be accomplished by either typing in the search tool web address listed below or by selecting their links at the course web-site under weekly activities.
1. Select Search from the top of the Netscape window.
2. Choose one of the various search engines listed. There are many others not listed as well. Make sure you try some of those as well (see below for URL). Also, make sure you try at least one each from the Directory (www.yahoo.com), Key Word (www.google.com), and Meta-search (www.dogpile.com) categories.

3. Develop a specific query (it can be anything you might be interested in) and choose from the various search engine sites.
4. Utilize the same query in each engine.
5. Notice similarities and differences. Which worked best for you?
6. Utilize the Comparative Search Engine Form to record your results.
