Geography, Planning, and Sustainability

Why Geography, Planning, and Sustainability?

Westfield State University offers the only undergraduate degree in Regional Planning among public colleges and universities in the Northeast. We offer extensive internship opportunities to gain practical field experience in community planning, environmental management, housing, transportation, economic development, sustainable energy, water resources and more.

The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics projects employment growth of 16 percent. As the population continues to grow, it becomes more imperative for communities to operate in a sustainable manner.

We invite you to explore the links and resources below to learn more about our department and the Regional Planning degree opportunities at Westfield State University.
