WESTFIELD — Westfield resident Nicholas J. Aieta, chair of the History Department at Westfield State University, has authored “The White Church of Blandford,” for Arcadia Publishing, to be released Jan. 24, 2022.

This is Aieta’s first book. He joined the faculty of Westfield State University in 2008 after receiving his Ph.D. in history from the University of Nebraska in 2007. He is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross, and also holds a master’s degree in history from the University of Connecticut. He has taught courses on American history from the 1400s to early 1800s, including Native American history, as well as on methods of teaching history.
