Are You Considering Mathematics as a Major?

We think Mathematics is a great major. It offers numerous expected and unexpected opportunities, and fascinating challenges. If you are considering Mathematics as a major and would like to learn more about potential careers, what it is like to study Mathematics at Westfield, what our department is like, or what classes are like, then you are invited to visit us. Just contact me, and we can set up a day for you. You could visit some classes, talk with faculty, meet and go to lunch with math majors, and really get to know us. I know you are probably looking at many colleges and universities, trying to find the one that best fits you and your future.

Of course I think you should come to Westfield State University…but only if it is right for you. I’m sure you’ve found that many schools look great on the web. However, you really need to visit a college to find out what it feels like – to see if it fits you. I believe you will like us and find your place here.
