Westfield State University students pitch in to digitize Frederick Douglass papers

WESTFIELD — Last week on Valentine’s Day, Westfield State University students and staff gathered at Ely Library to make Black history easier for more people to access.

During “Douglass Day,” students spent three hours reading and transcribing 19th century documents.
