Most benefited employees are employed in positions that are governed by a union and a collective bargaining agreement (CBA). These positions are referred to "unit" positions. Positions not governed by a union are "non-unit" positions. For specific union and non-unit information, refer to the Union Information page.
Refer to your appointment letter or the job posting to know what union and/or category your position falls under. Some benefits are exclusive to specific groups of employees based on union or position type. Contracted positions are temporary and non-benefited and do not apply here.
