Employee Resources

The staff in the Office of Human Resources, Inclusion, Diversity, and Equity are committed to providing service and guidance in any way we can.

The resources in this section will guide and assist supervisors and hiring managers through the employee life cycle from the initial classification decision to when an employee leaves the university.

  • Our employee guide offers resources, guidance and information that all employees need to know. This guide has been developed to help you become familiar with the organizational structure of the University and its employment policies and procedures. This guide is intended as a handbook.

  • Do you have a new name or address? Maybe you need to update your education attainment? Employees looking to change their information on file with OHRIDE or Payroll will need to fill out the Change of Information Form. Completed forms should be submitted to OHRIDE.

  • Are you buying a home or new car? Do you need your past employment verified? The Payroll Office is WSU’s point of contact for employment verification. They can be contacted at 413-572-8404, -8664, or -8478.

  • As an employee, knowing and understanding your collective bargaining agreement is important. These agreements often include information such as wages, overtime rules, grievance procedures, safety and work practices and seniority.

  • We understand that many employees may choose to leave the university to pursue other opportunities. Following the recommendations for resigning from a position will ensure a separation on good terms.
