Welcome back to the start of the Spring 2021 semester! Below, please find some helpful information as we start another semester.
Classes Begin: Monday, January 25, 2021.
Add/Drop (Web Registration): Add/drop Ends Friday, Janurary 29, 2021.
Students can make scheduling adjustments online (No Pin Required) opens on Wednesday, January 20 – Friday, January 29th from 7AM – 11PM Daily.
501 and 502 sections: Students will not be able to register for evening courses with any section numbers starting with a “5” (501, 502, etc…) until Monday, January 25th.
Overloads: are permitted if students have email approval from the faculty of the course.
Schedules: Please remember to view your schedule. Students will be graded for every courses they are registered in at the end of add drop. Students must be registered in a minimum of 12 credits to be considered fulltime.
Returning and New Transfer Students: will be able to make adjustments to their schedules and add a 6th course (up to 18 credits).
New First Year Students: will need to contact the Registrar’s Office firstname.lastname@example.org or call 413-572-8261 or email Academic Advising email@example.com for registration assistance.
Course Modality: if a student is having difficulty with the registration or is concerned about the modality that a course is being offered (Normal, Hybrid, Online, Remote Sync), students may contact the Registrar’s Office at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling 413-572-8261.
Online Catalogs: You can access a fully interactive online version of our undergraduate catalog at http://catalog.westfield.ma.edu.
Degree Evaluations: All students should be reviewing their degree evaluations (academics page – Academic Records – degree evaluation link). Please be careful when repeating courses! If you are repeating a course which you previously passed (whether it was intentional or not) the audit may be double counting credits toward graduation. Review your audit for possible repeats and make adjustments as necessary. If you are intentionally repeating a course you must fill out and submit the course repeat form to the Office of the Registrar immediately.
Free Online Enrollment Verifications: After add/drop students will be able to print their own enrollment verifications (full/part-time status) using their myWestfield account, academics page – academic records - enrollment verification. Enrollment status is based on your credits at the time of submission and will be updated throughout the semester.
Not Returning: If you are not planning to return to Westfield for the fall semester, please let us know immediately by faxing a letter with your name, college-wide ID number, signature and reason that you are not returning to 413-579-3010 or e-mail email@example.com.
