First Year Registration

Attention Incoming Students:

Our Summer 2018 Orientation dates are now available!  Once accepted and deposited, all incoming students of the Class of 2022 will receive information on New Student and Parent Orientation at Westfield State.  In the meantime, take a look at our dates for the June programs.

Session A:  Monday June 11th - Tuesday June 12th

Session B:  Thursday June 14th - Friday June 15th

Session C:  Monday June 18th - Tuesday June 19th

Session D:  Thursday June 21st - Friday June 22nd

Session E:  Monday June 25th - Tuesday June 26th 

Overview of Our Program

Our program is designed to ensure that you are able to get all of your questions answered, doubts resolved, and connections made.  Orientation is a 1 and a 1/2 day overnight program (even for those students who will be commuting to Westfield State).  Below is a list of some of the sessions covered during the orientation program!

Answers to common questions about orientation:

  • All students stay overnight in Scanlon Hall during the orientation program (commuters too).  Parents/guests who decide to stay on campus during the program will be housed in University Hall.  Parents/guests are NOT required to stay on campus.
  • Meals and housing are provided during your stay on campus.  There is no fee for students for orientation (please visit the Parent Orientation page for more information about fees for guests).
  • Siblings, friends and guests are not allowed to attend orientation with you since this is a time for you to meet new people. 
  • Please bring bed linens (sheets, blankets, pillows, etc.), a towel and the necessary toiletries for an overnight stay.
  • New Student & Parent Orientation is an alcohol and drug-free program. Please do not bring these items with you to campus.
