Save the Date for Homecoming 2016

Homecoming/Family Day/Reunion Celebration 2016 is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 1. Start the day with the Reunion Brunch, the Distinguished Alumnus presentation, and tons of fun for you and the family at Alumni Field. At noon, come for beverages and delicious tailgate food at Game Side, and watch the Fighting Owls versus Plymouth State on the football field. Following the game, head to Dever Stage for an alumni concert featuring the Westfield State Wind Symphony, Big Band, and Chorus, then head downtown to continue the celebration at one of Westfield’s local venues. Reserve your room today at the Quality Inn, Westfield, with the special Westfield State rate, breakfast, and newly decorated rooms. We hope you will join us for the biggest weekend of the year! Starting July 1, check out our newly redesigned alumni website. It will be easier to navigate, with timely news, photos, and important information about your benefits as a Westfield State alum. This site is our primary point of contact with our alumni, so please check out the variety of ways that can reconnect you to the campus, each other, and faculty and staff. Second Annual Alumni Holiday Reception in Springfield

On Dec. 10, 2015, over 50 alums and friends  gathered at CityStage for the second annual Alumni Holiday reception. Student musicians, specialty cocktails, and delicious dessert crepes gave our alumni a chance to meet new friends and reconnect with old ones while learning news about the campus. Mark your calendar now to join us on Dec. 8 in Springfield for this year’s event.

Election Time is Fast Approaching

Nancy Daly ’90, our current alumni association president, enjoys serving on Westfield State University’s Alumni Association Executive Council, because it not only allows her the opportunity to give back to a place she loves but has enabled her to make new friends and professional contacts with every meeting and event.

If you are interested in serving as a member-at-large for the Westfield State Alumni Association, please contact our office right away. Nominations (either self or other) are due by Aug. 1. The election timeline is as follows: Nominations due, Aug. 1; voting, Aug. 15-31; run-off, if needed, Sept. 1-10; announcement of election results, Sept. 15.

Musical Theatre Guild 40th Reunion 2016

Commencement and the 1966 Golden Owls Celebration

Westfield State University will celebrate Commencement 2016 at the MassMutual Center in Springfield on May 21. Joining in the celebration will be our Golden Owls, including our newest inductees from the class of 1966.

Alumni Summer of Fun 2016

There is nothing like summer, and here in Alumni Relations, we are planning a number of events to gather our alumni! Join us in Boston on June 3 for our “Kickoff to Summer” or on the Cape for a fun, family-style clambake on July 16.
