| Lesson Plan By Samantha Edwards Unit Topic or Theme: Math Grade: 7th & 8th Lesson Topic or Theme: Fractions
review Lesson Objectives: The student
will be able to demonstrate their full understand of fractions by taking online
review Instructional Technique: students
will work by themselves on the review and we will come together as a whole at
the end to discuss any last minute questions they have. They will then take practice
quiz. Instructional Materials: computer
and practice quiz Theoretical Perspective: This
information is important to move forward in the curriculum and fractions will
be a part of their math curriculum for ever. These concepts are the basic
concepts of fractions they need to know
this to move on. Procedure: A. Introductory Activity:(5min) Go
to computer lab have students log onto computers and I will explain activity. B. Step-by-step:(30 min) Students
will have link to website. They will do review. After review we will talk about
anything that they struggled with and review more if needed. Then take a seven
question practice quiz. Students will correct each other’s quizzes as we
correct out loud discussing the answers on the board. C. Closure:(10min) Students will
get quizzes back. We will talk about test taking strategies for the test the next day. D. Adaptations for different
learners (i.e. non-native speakers, struggling readers or math phobic learners,
students with poor study skills). Bigger type on quiz if needed, (more) basic
fractions concepts if needed, pictures of fractions on quiz E. Homework: study for test Evaluation: A. How/ when will you determine
if you have met your objectives? If they did good on practice quiz and the
test.*Please list each of your stated objectives for the lesson. Then demonstrate
how you will document successful completion for each. The student will be able to demonstrate
their full understand of fractions by taking online review, to document successful completion, a participation
grade for completing review and quiz grade on practice quiz taken in class. B. Concerns or questions you have
about teaching this lesson? Having enough
