Campus Teaching Showcase highlights four faculty

The University hosted its annual Campus Teaching Showcase on Nov. 20, highlighting the work of four selected faculty members. 

The presentations included works from Drs. Hillary Sackett-Taylor, Mao-Lun Weng, Phil Hart, and Dristi Neog.

Dr. Sackett-Taylor, associate professor of economics, presented “The Political Economy of Black Panther’s Wakanda: Using Superheroes to Teach Economic Theory.” She holds a Ph.D. in environmental and resource economics from Michigan State University.

Dr. Weng, assistant professor of biology, presented “Evolution of teaching: one size doesn’t fit all.” He earned his Ph.D. in botany and plant biology from the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Hart, assistant professor of economics and management, presented “The Variety Show: How segments and feedback enhance the classroom.” He holds a Ph.D. in marketing from the University of Memphis.

Dr. Neog, assistant professor of geography, planning, and sustainability, presented “Making Learning Fun.” She earned a Ph.D. in urban and regional planning from Florida State University.
