In the spirit of the giving season, the campus community participated in “Thanksgivaway” on Nov. 20 in the Ely Student Center lower level lounge, with a variety of events to serve those in need.
Sixty items were donated to Common Goods, a food pantry and resource center serving Westfield State students, faculty, and staff.
Ten blankets were made for the women and children of the YWCA of Western Mass. These will be donated during the upcoming Stuff-A-Cruiser event on Dec. 4.
With $160 raised for the annual SGA Turkey Drive, participants stuffed a plush turkey to take to their Thanksgiving destination.
