Veterans Celebration Event – November 10, 2021
The University is collaborating with Holyoke Community College and will host a Veterans celebration with two events on Wednesday, Nov. 10, focusing on the journey of a veteran.
Veterans on the U.S. Frontlines, a round table discussion, will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. in Scanlon Banquet Hall. Four veterans will facilitate the discussions, including Marine Veteran and current Guard member, Eladio Soto; Nicolas Smith, VSO (WSU alumnus); Melanie Casineau, Veteran, and spouse of a military member (HCC alumna) and either WSU alumnus Chuck Towse or a current student.
A Networking event will be held in Scanlon Hall from 6 to 8 p.m., where military-connected students, alumni, and campus community members from WSU and HCC will participate and become more aware of resources available at both institutions.
